Programs
Our programs provide intensive support to teachers who believe all children have the right to an equitable and excellent education.

TFASC removes barriers to enter the teaching profession, provides pathways to teacher certification, and offers intensive support that enables you to make a significant impact in your classroom and community.
Our programs are designed to build transformational relationships between students and leaders like you – with or without an initial background in education.
Our Proven Approach

Learn more about the SC Impact Fellowship
program highlight
The Ignite Fellowship is a part-time, paid tutoring fellowship for undergraduate and graduate students and TFA alumni who are interested in teaching. With the support of a veteran educator to help customize tutoring sessions using their school’s curriculum, Ignite Fellows and students connect one-on-one or in small groups virtually during the school day.
As an Ignite Fellow, you make an immediate impact by leading virtual tutoring sessions that accelerate learning and foster belonging with students. You also develop your leadership skills and expand your network with teachers and other fellows across the country.

The Accelerator Academy is an incubator program for equity-minded aspiring leaders who seek additional development before joining the TFA Corps, a rigorous alternative teacher certification pathway.
As a participant, you attend a six-week course that sharpens the change management, emotional intelligence, and adaptive leadership skills needed to make an impact in a fast-paced alternative certification route. The program includes leadership development and coaching, targeted application and interview preparation, and exploratory activities to build context around the educational landscape in South Carolina. We also connect you to available resources to meet the state’s teacher certification requirements.
program highlight
The TFA Corps is South Carolina’s premier alternative teacher preparation and development program that provides our first- and second-year educators with the professional, social, and financial support needed to launch an impactful career in the classroom.
As a corps member, you make a two-year teaching commitment at one of our partner school districts in the Lowcountry, Pee Dee, or Upstate community. During this commitment, you receive ongoing training, coaching, and professional development from TFASC that enables you to transform student outcomes at schools with the greatest needs.

program highlight
The purpose of the SC Impact Fellowship is to retain our early career educators following an initial two-year teaching commitment and to recruit our veteran educators from out-of-state. Fellows teach for another two years in one of South Carolina’s most under-resourced schools, and throughout their fellowship, we provide targeted professional development to support our educators in improving their teaching practice.
As a fellow, you receive continuing education that is aligned to your career goals, a yearly stipend, and a moving stipend if relocating from outside of South Carolina. These benefits are designed for you to develop as a leader and to transform student outcomes at schools with the greatest needs.

TFASC brings our expertise in new teacher development to all first- and second-year educators in partner school districts through the New Teacher Academy.
As a participant, you attend summer teacher training, cohort meetings, and coaching sessions where you build competencies that result in higher teacher retention and student achievement.
